About WATCH

Our mission is to support independence and community integration for people with intellectual disabilities.

WATCH Resources, Inc. was founded in 1972 by a group of parents and teachers who knew that adults with intellectual disabilities needed support to live productive and happy lives as integral members of our community. It has grown over the past 40+ years to now support 180 people who live in Tuolumne, Calaveras and Mariposa Counties.

WATCH Resources, Inc. is a non-profit charitable organization.

We build community integration because we believe that everyone has a place in our community. We offer supported living services with coaches to help in home to learn and use the skills that will help maintain independence. We have a HI-GEAR program that offers a monthly calendar of social and recreational events in our community and out-of-town. We have a Goldstrike Residence that is a live-in group home in San Andreas, CA with staff on duty 24 hours a day.

We offer services that build self-sufficiency by helping consumers find and keep a job. Paid work is available in the Visions program or through our Supported Employment Program. We offer supports and instruction to make your own lunch, crochet a baby blanket for your nephew or send email to your family. WATCH has a menu of classes that changes three times a year. We have a Supported Employment program with a job coach to help consumers at jobs in the community. Our Visions program is a learning environment with a job training component. Each trimester you choose the classes or work areas you're interested in. You set the goals for each area, such as creative arts, with your support team.
